Battery Maintenance

If the battery will not be used for an extended period:

• Charge the battery to approximately 75% capacity before storage.
• Check the battery level once a month and recharge to approximately 75% if necessary.
• Store the battery indoors in a dry place, away from heat, flames and direct sunlight.
• Avoid storing the battery in extremely hot or cold conditions.
• Do not expose the battery to water or other liquids.

Keeping the battery at around 75% charge during long-term storage can help reduce battery degradation compared with storing it at a higher charge level.

Charging Instructions

The battery can be charged either attached to or removed from the e-bike.

To remove the battery, insert the key into the lock on the side of the battery slide and unlock it. To secure the battery, insert the key and lock it firmly in place.

When charging:

1. Use the original charger or a charger specifically designed and approved for this battery.
2. Charge the battery indoors in a dry, well-ventilated area.
3. Make sure the charging area and charging port are clean and dry.
4. Connect the charger to the battery first, then plug the charger into the power outlet.
5. The charger indicator will normally show red while charging and green when charging is complete.
6. Avoid leaving the charger connected after the battery is fully charged.
7. A mostly discharged battery typically takes approximately 5–6 hours to charge.
8. Charging time may increase as the battery gets older or has been used extensively.

Battery Safety

Lithium-ion batteries require careful handling. Please follow these safety guidelines:

• Do NOT submerge the battery in water or any other liquid.
• Do NOT touch the charging port with metal objects, as this may cause a short circuit.
• Turn off the battery before removing it from the e-bike.
• Do not use the battery if it is damaged, unusually hot, leaking, swollen, has an unusual smell or has changed colour.
• Do not open, modify, disassemble or attempt to repair the battery yourself.
• Keep the battery away from excessive heat, flames and other sources of ignition.
• When plugging or unplugging the charger, hold the plug rather than pulling the cable.
• If the battery does not charge correctly or shows any unusual behaviour, stop charging immediately and contact us.

Important: Lithium-ion batteries can be hazardous if incorrectly used, charged, stored or handled. Failure to follow the safety guidelines may result in property damage, serious injury or other hazards.
